The flight was smooth with amazing views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, Kilauea, active lava, a burning rainforest (due to the lava flow), lush valleys, dramatic cliffs, beautiful waterfalls, and more. His knowledge of the history and geology of the Big Island were infectious and he answered all our questions in great detail, as the same time as providing an amazing flight over the active parts of the Kilauea Volcano (including some lava flows) and the lush valleys and breathtaking waterfalls of the north-east coast of the island. Our pilot Tim gave us an incredible trip of one hour and 45 mins on the Volcano Deluxe flight on February 16th. ![]()
